Tiffany & Co.: The New York jewelry retailer said third-quarter net income surged 42% from a year ago to a record $7.5 million. Revenue jumped 37% to $95.1 million, also a record. The firm attributed the strong results to gains in domestic and foreign retail sales and in its direct marketing sales.
