Measure N
I agree with Robert A. Jones (Nov. 12, “On California”) that gross intolerance has been brought to light by Irvine’s Measure N. The worst is his own.
Jones is obviously totally intolerant of any “band of Bible thumpers” (Has he ever seen the Rev. Louis Sheldon thump one?), “homophobes” (used twice), “fake-science types, . . . from some time warp . . . the likes of Sheldon.” Jones shows he is navigating on a “darker subcurrent” of his own. Perhaps that makes him consensus-phobic.
One wonders why a newspaper claiming responsible journalism printed such a column so prominently on a page generally reserved for news and feature articles.
