‘Medfly Spraying Zone’

Air attack--Helicopters will spray the insecticide malathion over areas of Burbank and North Hollywood in the southeast San Fernando Valley tonight from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m. in continuing war on the Mediterranean fruit fly. Residents are advised to place protective coverings on cars and fish ponds. Spraying was ordered after a pregnant Medfly was discovered last week in a North Hollywood trap.
