Teaching Evolution

Share

I suppose teaching creationism is all right. It’s never seriously hurt anyone yet. But the problem is which creation story should be taught? Egyptian? Greek? Mesopotamian? The Hebrew or biblical story belong with the Mesopotamian group.

Then there are Chinese, Australian, Indian, and on and on. The Old Testament tells two versions.

Obviously, we can’t teach them all. Unless, a class were introduced that taught only creation myth and that taught all of them. Maybe time could be found to teach such a class before or after school. Then evolution could be taught in science classes where it belongs.
