RADIO PAYS: In this age of televangelism, why choose radio for broadcast ministry? One reason may be that it works. . . . Commentaries by the Rev. Charles Swindoll, above, of Fullerton, heard daily on 950 stations, brought in more than $11 million in 1988, tax records show. . . . Four Swindoll family members who work for the half-hour “Insight for Living” collected $233,540 last year, which includes Swindoll’s $75,000 “consulting” fee--but not his salary as pastor of Fullerton’s First Evangelical Free Church or his royalties as a best-selling author of Christian books.
