Federal disaster relief centers opened in northern Alabama and an 18th victim died of injuries suffered during a devastating tornado that caused $100 million in damage last week. Jennifer Luker, 2 1/2, whose mother, Karen Luker, 23, was killed when the tornado tossed their car into a field, died at Huntsville Hospital. “Now we’re in the process of getting the aid out to the people,” said Terry Abbott, Gov. Guy Hunt’s press secretary, of the relief centers set up by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
