Alpha Microsystems: Michael G. Luirette has been appointed vice president, sales for Alpha Microsystems, Santa Ana. Previously, he was senior director of domestic sales for the computer hardware and software manufacturer. In his new position, Luirette will continue to direct all domestic sales activities, with the additional responsibility for Latin America, Asia/Pacific and Canada. Luirette has been with Alpha Micro since 1983, holding a variety of support and sales-related managerial positions. Before that he was national customer service manager for Rusco Electronic Systems and Western regional service manager for TRW Inc.
