GALVESTON, Tex. —
Searchers were looking Thursday for three members of a family whose single-engine plane went down in the Gulf of Mexico, the Coast Guard reported.
One man, suffering from hypothermia and shock, was rescued late Wednesday from an oil company platform, but a woman and two children were being sought, Coast Guard officials said.
All occupants of the plane had reached the platform, according to one Coast Guard officer, but winds and high waves had forced the woman and children back into the water.
