Malcolm O. Ogburn has been chosen officer of the year for the California Highway Patrol’s Southern Division, which includes the Santa Fe Springs station where Ogburn has been assigned for his entire 18 years of service. He has received numerous commendations and awards during his career. His trademark is the black leather gloves he always wears.
David Gordon has been named general manager of the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. Gordon, who had been director of operations at the center from 1980 to 1983, most recently was assistant general manager of the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
