Semiconductor Slump Seen: Slumping electronics sales have pushed the world semiconductor industry into a mini-recession that is expected to last through March, a leading market research company said. Growth in the worldwide semiconductor industry is expected to slow to 11% this year and only 1.5% in 1990, down from a robust 32% in 1988, Dataquest Inc. of San Jose reported in an update to its yearly electronics forecast.
