Quayle Attends Kin’s Rites

WASHINGTON — Vice President Dan Quayle canceled a visit to Atlanta on Monday to attend a memorial service for William Murphy, an uncle who died last Wednesday. The vice president had been scheduled to appear at a fund-raising event. Instead, he attended a memorial service at the 4th Presbyterian Church in Bethesda, Md.
