Nissan Will Invest in British Plants: Nissan Motor Co. said it will invest $48 million to build two car design and manufacturing plants in Britain. The Japanese car giants said the new sites, which will design and develop new cars for Europe for Nissan European Technology Center Ltd., will serve as the European link in Nissan’s global research and development network.
