FDA Approves Analgesic: Syntex Corp. said it has received Food and Drug Administration permission to market Toradol, an injectable, non-narcotic analgesic. Palo Alto-based Syntex said it is targeting the market for post-operative pain relief, currently dominated by the narcotics morphine and meperidine. It said it will begin marketing the drug in the spring.
