Burns From Stove Fire Kill Woman, 82
An 82-year-old woman died after being burned severly while cooking in her mobile home, El Cajon police said Saturday.
Gladis Mae Ranel was found dead by her granddaughter, Connie Clark, 36, of Lemon Grove, who had gone to Ranel’s Horseshoe Trailer Park mobile home at 4:20 p.m. Friday when she couldn’t reach Ranel on the phone, police said.
Ranel’s clothes caught fire while she was cooking on a gas stove, officers said.
