The Orangewood Celebrity Golf Classic on Oct. 30 at the Mesa Verde Country Club in Costa Mesa netted $110,000 for the Orangewood Children’s Foundation. Doug DeCinces, formerly with the California Angels, hosted the tournament.

“The Splendors of Christmas” dinner-dance at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel and Tennis Club on Saturday raised an estimated $100,000 for the 552 Club of Hoag Memorial Hospital. Jim Dale was chairman.

The “Snow Ball” held at the Doubletree Hotel at the City in Orange on Saturday raised an estimated $10,000 for the Children’s League of Fullerton. Shari Adams was chairwoman.

The “Los Ayudantes Dinner” at the Doubletree Hotel at the City in Orange on Sunday raised $34,300 for the YMCA of Orange County. Terry Miller was chairwoman.
