A Milwaukee man who police say is apparently obsessed with “Tonight” show host Johnny Carson was charged today with making terrorist threats against the entertainer.
Ken Orville Gause, 36, was arrested Wednesday at NBC’s Burbank studios, which he allegedly had threatened to blow up, police said.
The district attorney’s office charged Gause with one count each of making terrorist threats and sending threatening letters. The first charge carries a maximum prison term of three years upon conviction, while the second count carries a maximum sentence of four years behind bars.
Gause had reportedly threatened to kill Carson unless he was paid $5 million.
