Switzerland’s Maria Walliser posted her 13th World Cup downhill triumph at Steamboat Spring, Colo., beating teammate Michela Figini by 15-hundredths of a second. Swiss star Vreni Schneider missed the event after undergoing arthroscopic surgery to remove a floating piece of cartilage from her left knee and is expected to be sidelined from 10 days to two weeks.
