Idol Role Rock singer Billy Idol will get his first movie role in Oliver Stone’s still-untitled film about the life of Jim Morrison, the hard-living leader of the Doors. Idol, who auditioned and took acting classes to prepare for the role of Morrison’s friend Tom Baker, has long been a Morrison fan and will include the Doors’ “L.A. Woman” on his next album. The record, “Charmed Life,” comes out in February, just about the time that Val Kilmer, who will play Morrison, and Idol start filming. Morrison was 27 when he died of a heart attack in the bathtub of his Paris apartment in July, 1971. The singer is buried at Pere Lachaise cemetery and his grave is still a popular place for young travelers to gather.
