2 Areas on Rose Parade Route Set for Disabled
Two free viewing areas along the Tournament of Roses Parade route have been set aside for the disabled.
One viewing section, provided by the city of Pasadena, will be along the south side of Colorado Boulevard between Marengo and Garfield avenues. Each disabled person can receive two tickets.
The tickets are available from the city’s Affirmative Action Department, (818) 405-4216. Also available is transportation to the site via Dial-a-Ride. Parking permits for a garage one block from the viewing area also are available.
A second viewing area for the disabled will be at a lot on the corner of Sierra Madre Boulevard and Villa Street. It is provided by Wheelchair Haven, a volunteer group, which will send two free tickets to each person who write to the organization at 750 E. Green St., Room 340, Pasadena, Calif. 91101.
