If the Rams and Philadelphia Eagles both win Sunday and play in the NFC wild-card game, the game would be played at Philadelphia, the NFL said Tuesday.

Victories by the Rams over the New England Patriots and the Eagles over the Phoenix Cardinals would leave Los Angeles and Philadelphia with 11-5 records.

The first tiebreaker is head-to-head competition, but the Rams and Eagles didn’t play each. The second tiebreaker is division record, which is not applicable since the Rams are in the NFC West and the Eagles are in the NFC East.

The third tiebreaker is conference record, and both teams would be 8-4 in games against NFC opponents should the Eagles beat the Cardinals.

The fourth tiebreaker is record against common opponents. If the Eagles beat the Cardinals, they would be 7-3 against common opponents to the Rams’ 5-4.

If the Eagles beat the Cardinals and the New York Giants lose to the Raiders Sunday, Philadelphia and New York would both be 11-5, but the Eagles would win the NFL East title because they swept the Giants during the regular season.

In that case, assuming the Rams beat the Patriots, they would play host to the Giants in the wild-card game by virtue of their 31-10 victory over them during the regular season.

The Giants (11-4) need a victory or a tie against the Raiders to clinch the NFC East title.
