Orange County 1990 : THERE’S NO STOPPING THE GROWTH

There will apparently be no stopping the steady, if not spectacular, growth of the county during the 1990s. There was nearly a 19% increase in countywide population during the 1980s. Plan on an additional 9% during the first half of the ‘90s. The fastest increases in individual cities are projected to take place for the most part in South County--specifically in Laguna Niguel, Irvine, Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano and Mission Viejo. In North County, Yorba Linda will lead the parade. Every city in the county is projected to grow, with the exception of tiny Villa Park, which is looking at a 1% decrease.
