CSUN Student Dies in Head-On Car Crash
A Cal State Northridge student was killed in Canoga Park when his car crossed into an oncoming lane and collided head-on with another car, injuring its two occupants, Los Angeles police said Friday.
John W. Bricker, 28, of Northridge died about 1:15 a.m. Thursday after the accident in the northbound lanes of Valley Circle Boulevard near Dorie Drive, Officer Ed Burns said.
Bricker’s southbound car crossed a double line for an unknown reason and struck an oncoming car carrying Neil Waldron, 19, and Thad Kirk, 18, both of Canoga Park. Waldron and Kirk, who suffered slight injuries, were treated at Humana Hospital in West Hills and released.
