South Yemeni leader Ali Salim Bidh arrived in Yemen on Sunday to pursue negotiations on a plan to unify the two states.

Bidh, secretary general of the ruling Socialist Party, told the Yemeni news agency SABA that the atmosphere since the two Yemens signed a draft unity constitution three weeks ago has been good.

He said the purpose of his talks with Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh will be to ensure that the agreement is implemented.
