Back to Taiwan?

When President Richard Nixon opened the doors to Communist China , did the liberals in this country know the nature of the Mao Tse-tung regime? They had been screaming for years for the United States to recognize Red China. When the liberals finally got their wish and we established official ties with the Maoists, at the expense of selling our friends in Taiwan down the official river, did they think we were recognizing a government by the people? Now the liberals are calling President Bush’s policy cynical. OK, let’s break off relations and go back to our friends in Taipei.
