Cardis to Sell TuneUp Masters: Cardis Corp. of Cerritos, which emerged from bankruptcy in November, has agreed to sell the 242-store TuneUp Masters chain to Xpert-TUM Acquisition Inc. for an undisclosed price. Cardis said it expects the deal for the chain, which operates mainly in the West and Southwest, to close by March 31. Cardis, which operates the 26-store Carquest Auto Parts chain and nine warehouse distribution centers in California and Arizona, bought TuneUp Masters in 1986.
