HUNTINGTON BEACH : Group Offers Guided Tours of Wetlands
Free walking tours of the Bolsa Chica wetlands will be offered Saturday morning by the environmental organization Amigos de Bolsa Chica.
Those wishing to take the tours should come to the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve parking lot off Pacific Coast Highway across from Bolsa Chica State Beach. Tours will begin every 20 minutes from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., starting from the parking lot.
Participants are advised to wear warm clothing and sturdy shoes and to bring binoculars.
The wetlands have large populations of ducks, terns and a small colony of white pelicans.
