Bond Corp. Holdings Ltd. won a reprieve today as the Western Australian Supreme Court dismissed a government petition to liquidate the media, brewing, natural resources and property empire.

The court ruled against the State Government Insurance Commission, which had asked the court to appoint a provisional liquidator for Bond Corp. on the ground that the company controlled by financier Alan Bond was insolvent.

“There is no evidence that the creditors of (Bond Corp.) aren’t being paid,” the judge said.
