Pasadena : Consultant Hiring OKd
The hiring of a consultant to organize activities for the 20th anniversary of Earth Day, April 22, was approved Tuesday by the Board of Directors.
The consultant will be paid up to $15,000 to coordinate the city’s activities with regional and national observances of the day, commemorating environmental awareness.
But the board declined to approve an additional $50,000 proposed for Earth Day activities, directing that other expenses be paid from regular budgets or from Earth Day fund-raising.
