Pasadena : More Malathion Notices

Believing that its residents may not be adequately informed of Malathion spraying, the Board of Directors has instructed its public information officer to work with the office of the agricultural commissioner to provide extra notices, if needed.

Night sprayings of malathion from helicopters have been conducted over the last few weeks to combat a Mediterranean fruit fly infestation; residents are informed by mail. But if spraying is canceled for rain, county officials rely on notification of the changed spray date by newspapers, television and radio.
