Dispute Settler Hired for ‘Roseanne’: A former producer of “Moonlighting” who helped settle disputes on the set has been hired to handle troublesome relations with Roseanne Barr on ABC’s hit comedy series “Roseanne.” Jay Daniel has joined the show with the title of executive producer for Carsey-Werner Productions. Barr, who had the show’s creator and original executive producer, Matt Williams, fired, recently asked for the removal of his successor, Jeff Harris. Her concept of the show and her character reportedly has differed from that of the producers. Reportedly, she wanted her character to express more anger than the producers and writers would agree to.
