Drexler Helps Trail Blazers Beat Nets Again
Clyde Drexler matched his season highs with 36 points and 13 rebounds Sunday night at East Rutherford, N.J., as the Portland Trail Blazers beat New Jersey, 99-90, for their eighth consecutive victory over the Nets.
Drexler scored 16 points in the third quarter as Portland, which has won seven of eight games, extended a 10-point halftime lead.
Buck Williams, who played with the Nets for eight years, had 12 points and 13 rebounds in his first game against New Jersey since he was traded in the offseason.
The Trail Blazers haven’t lost to the Nets since Dec. 7, 1985.
