Printronix Nets $1.1 Million

Printronix Inc., the Irvine-based manufacturer of computer printers, posted net income of $1.1 million for the third fiscal quarter, contrasted with a net loss of nearly $3 million a year ago.

Sales for the quarter ended Dec. 29 declined 3%, to $30.8 million from $31.9 million for the comparable 1988 period.

For the first nine months of the fiscal year, the company reported net income of $1.7 million, contrasted with a loss of $1.3 million for the first three quarters in 1988. Revenue dropped 11%, to $92 million from $103.7 million.
