Smog Forces Closures, Cutbacks in Ankara

Smog blanketed the Turkish capital Monday, closing schools, disrupting flights and bringing orders to polluting industries to cut back operations.
Health authorities ordered factories “hazardous to public health,” such as smoke-belching cement and brick works, to operate at half their capacity.
