Cigna to Buy Equicor: Cigna Corp. has agreed to purchase Equicor-Equitable HCA Corp., a group insurance and managed health-care joint venture owned by the Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States and Hospital Corp. of America, for $777 million in cash, subject to certain closing adjustments. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals. Cigna is a worldwide provider of insurance and related financial services products.
