Digital Equipment Corp.: The Maynard, Mass., maker of network computer systems and services said its second-quarter net income slid 44% from a year earlier to $155.4 million. Sales held steady at $3.2 billion. The company said that while markets in Europe and Japan were good, the U.S. market is still slow.
