Tournament of Roses Elects New President

Roy L. Coats, president of Citizens Bank in Pasadena, has been elected president of next year’s Rose Parade and Rose Bowl, officials of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses announced.

“My first official duty is to select a theme for the parade,” Coats said. “My choice--’Fun ‘n’ Games.’ ”

Coats, of Arcadia, has worked with the Tournament of Roses for 28 years.
