Woodbridge 1, Trabuco Hills 0--Mike Mendoza scored in the second half for host Woodbridge. Eric Mooberry had eight saves for Woodbridge.

In the Century League:

Villa Park 3, El Modena 2--Junior Keith Amen scored to break a 2-2 tie in the second half for host Villa Park (6-4-3, 1-2-1). Amen had two goals and David Szekeres also scored for Villa Park. Steve Wiser and Ronnie Murrietta scored for El Modena (1-2-1 in league play).

Foothill 0, Santa Ana Valley 0--Lance Anderson had six saves for host Foothill (15-2-3, 2-0-2) and Marcellino Barriga had 13 saves for Santa Ana Valley.

Santa Ana 2, Canyon 1--Rafael Segovia and Robert Sanchez scored for host Santa Ana (11-2-5, 3-0-1). Steve Frize scored for Canyon (7-7-3, 0-2-2) to tie the match at 1-1 with about 10 minutes remaining. Sanchez scored the winning goal one minute later.

In the Empire League:

El Dorado 5, Loara 1--Derrick Dean had two goals, Tom Guenther had one goal and one assist, and Kirk Jorgenson and Tim Sesson each scored for visiting El Dorado (10-6-6, 2-2-1). Anthony Bravo scored for Loara.

Los Alamitos 2, Esperanza 1--Jared Abe and Todd Platt scored for host Los Alamitos in an upset of fourth-ranked Esperanza (14-3-2). The score was tied at 1-1 at halftime, but Platt scored four minutes into the second half.

In the Garden Grove League:

La Quinta 6, Garden Grove 0--Chris Doherty had three goals for visiting La Quinta. Craig Wickenberg, Dave Matlock and Chris Siok also scored for La Quinta (8-6-4, 4-0-3).

Pacifica 1, Kennedy 0--Phil Noetzel scored about 10 minutes into the second half for host Pacifica. Erick Cadacio had 15 saves and blocked a penalty kick with five minutes remaining for Pacifica.

In the Orange League:

Valencia 2, Savanna 1--Danny Melia and Steve Johnson scored to lead visiting Valencia, which improved to 4-0 in league. Valencia led, 2-0, at halftime. Goalie Yaya Jahadi had nine saves and Matt Labhart helped control the game’s tempo for Valencia.

Brea-Olinda 2, Magnolia 0--Jason Ochs scored twice on two assists by Martin Wall to lead host Brea-Olinda (8-8-1, 2-1). Jeff Bettencourt had seven saves for Brea-Olinda in recording his sixth shutout of the season.

In the Sea View League:

Estancia 2, Tustin 1--Gary Burrows and Ceasar Ovando scored for host Estancia (6-7-1, 3-1). Dan Choi scored for Tustin.

University 2, Corona del Mar 1--Paul Simon had both goals off assists by Diego Serrano to lead visiting University (7-5-2, 1-2-1). Alfredo Sandoval scored for Corona del Mar, which fell to 2-2 in league play. Goalie Chris Connelly had eight saves for Corona del Mar, and Robert Haworth had five saves for University.

Saddleback 3, Newport Harbor 3--Alex Opoulos scored for host Newport Harbor with about three minutes left for the tie. Brian Mallin and Brannon Coluccio also scored for Newport Harbor (15-3-2, 3-0-1). Braulio Mendez, Jose Perez and Elio Cisneros scored for Saddleback (1-2-1 in league play).

In the Sunset League:

Huntington Beach 1, Fountain Valley 1--Tom Jackson scored for Fountain Valley and Olman Zamora scored for Huntington Beach.

In the Olympic League:

Orange Lutheran 3, Whitney 0--Travis Haynes, Lee Back and Sean Tully scored for host Orange Lutheran (8-1-2, 6-1).

Santa Margarita 4, Capistrano Valley Christian 0--Travis Luvero scored twice and Tim Markel and Oscar Mestre once each for host Santa Margarita (5-9, 3-3). Dan Peters had two saves for Santa Margarita.

In a Garden Grove League girls’ match:

Kennedy 3, Pacifica 1--Krista Darin, Lori Van Herk and Adriane Poan scored for host Kennedy (10-4, 3-1).

In an Olympic League girls’ match:

Orange Lutheran 4, St. Margaret’s 0--Freshman forward Amber Parkinson had three goals for visiting Orange Lutheran (10-2-2, 5-1-2). Brandi Yates added the other goal for the Lancers. Parkinson scored eight goals in three matches this week and has 21 goals in 14 matches for the season.

Amy DuPont had six saves as she recorded her eighth shutout of the season for Orange Lutheran. St. Margaret’s is 3-5-2, 1-5-1.
