Romania to Get Food : U.S. Sends $80 Million in Food to Romania

WASHINGTON —
Romania will get $80-million worth of U.S. food aid, including 500,000 tons of corn and 7,500 tons of butter, in the coming months, government officials said today.
“The aid has already been agreed in principle, and we are working out the details now,” said a State Department official who declined to be named. He said the food aid was the same amount per capita as that given to Poland last year.
