Hoffman-Atchley Cabinets to Close Chatsworth Plant

Hoffman-Atchley Cabinets Inc., a Chatsworth maker of cabinets for new residential construction, said it would lay off all of the about 200 workers in its Chatsworth plant in February. About 100 salespeople, installers and others will be laid off as soon as Hoffman-Atchley meets agreements to install cabinets, said President Grant Robbins. The company cited increased costs of payroll, facilities and other investments required by governmental regulations in its decision to shut down the Chatsworth plant.
