GM to Close Plant: General Motors Corp. said it would close its metal-fabrictaion plant in Flint, Mich., by mid-1992, causing about 600 hourly and salaried workers at the AC Rochester unit to lose their jobs. Now, 573 hourly and 31 salaried workers are employed at the plant, which makes radiator supports and van doors.
