Bond Denied for Alleged Noriega Drug Smuggler

TAMPA —
A Panamanian businessman accused of working with deposed strongman Manuel A. Noriega to smuggle marijuana into the United States was denied bond Monday in U.S. District Court here.
Enrique Pretelt, 47, is charged with three counts of conspiracy to import drugs. He was flown to Tampa last week by federal drug agents after he turned himself in to U.S. authorities in Panama.
