Moody’s Investors Service lowered its credit rating for $12 billion in Merrill Lynch long-term debt, citing doubts over the impact of the firm’s $470-million charge for restructuring . . . Amoco Corp. raised its quarterly common stock dividend by 3.5 cents to 51 cents a share, payable March 10 to holders of record Feb. 7.
