Heavy Rain in Tunisia

TUNIS, Tunisia —
Widespread heavy rain in Tunisia has taken 13 lives and destroyed 4,000 houses, Interior Minister Chedli Neffati said Tuesday. He said one village, Sened in the province of Gafsa, had 15 inches up to Tuesday afternoon, while large parts of nine provinces had received more than 8 inches during three days of rain in central and southern Tunisia.
