RADIO DRAMA: National Public Radio’s lengthy and laudatory report Tuesday on South Coast Repertory’s current production, “Search and Destroy,” prompted a flurry of ticket requests, SCR said. . . . The report included interviews with SCR’s director, David Emmes, playwright Howard Korder and star Mark Harelik (above, left). . . . The play, which Times drama critic Sylvie Drake called “an altogether extraordinary achievement,” deals with a man’s rapacious, amoral quest for success. . . . Two more performances have been added to the run, which ends Feb. 18.
