COLLEGE BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Trailing by 17, Master’s Rises and Nips Biola

Down by 17 points with 7:30 to play Tuesday night at Biola, The Master’s College turned the tables on the Eagles and posted a 76-73 win in an NAIA District 3 game.

Master’s (13-12 overall, 6-4 in district play) began its run after Biola (7-15, 4-7) raced to a 62-45 lead with a 13-0 run midway through the second half. Master’s closed to within 68-63 when Tom Bruner--who had 33 points--made a three-point play with 3:10 left.

Bruner and David Moore each scored after Biola turnovers to make the score 68-67. Master’s went ahead, 69-68, with two minutes left on a pair of free throws by Jason Webster.
