Shatner in Palimony Suit: A $6 million palimony suit was filed in Los Angeles Wednesday against actor William Shatner by a woman who says she and the star of “Star Trek” had a five-year relationship and that he repeatedly promised to divorce his current wife and marry her. Vira Montes, 28, claims Shatner, 47, suddenly broke off the relationship a few weeks ago, though until that time the actor had been spending more than half his time at the San Fernando Valley home he bought for Montes, said Marvin Mitchelson, Montes’ attorney. Shatner could not be reached for comment. The suit seeks $3 million in actual damages, plus $3 million in punitive damages.
