Texas Instruments: The Dallas semiconductor and computer company said net income in 1989 totaled $292 million, down 20% from 1988. Revenue totaled $6.5 billion, up 1%. The company blamed a reduced semiconductor market, a slowdown in the defense industry and lower prices for dynamic random access memory chips and bipolar logic products.
