Fred Rose, chairman of Magna Computer Systems Inc., said Tom Malone was appointed president and chief executive officer of the Sherman Oaks-based maker of computer typesetting and composition systems. Malone, formerly vice president of Magna’s international operations, also was made a partner in the company, Rose said.
