Pollution Research & Control in Glendale said it lost $137,000 in its fiscal second quarter, compared with a $107,000 profit a year earlier.

Pollution Research, a maker of pollution-measuring devices and formerly named Dasibi Environmental Corp., said the loss for the three months that ended Dec. 31 came on an increase in sales to $1.51 million from $1.11 million. The company said the loss included costs related to its acquisition of Air Instruments & Measurements Inc. last year.

For the first half of its fiscal year, Pollution Research lost $316,000 compared with a year-earlier profit of $275,000, and its six-month sales climbed to $2.76 million from $2.25 million.
