4 Arrested in Cocaine Seizure

From a Times Staff Writer
Authorities seized more than 800 pounds of cocaine outside a Santa Fe Springs business and arrested four Colombians living in and around the San Gabriel Valley, sheriff’s deputies said Wednesday.
Deputy Van Mosely said the cocaine had a street value of $40 million.
The seizure Tuesday was the result of a monthlong investigation by the San Gabriel Valley Narcotic Enforcement Team. Arrested were Olavio Mera, 24, of Glendale, Richard Herrera, 39, of Montebello, Miriam Negri, 45, and her son, Ryan, 20, both of Walnut.
